1. Information you share with us
When you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide. This can include your name, company, email address, telephone number, correspondence and details of your enquiry or order. Drawings and other attachments may also contain personal information, such as an engineer’s name or contact details.
Please only include information relevant to your request. We do not need copies of identity documents, health information or other sensitive personal information to assess a machining enquiry.
2. How the enquiry form works
The enquiry form prepares a message in your own email application. Completing the form does not automatically send an enquiry to Precimax. You can review the message, add attachments and decide whether to send it. We receive the information when you send the email. Your email provider processes the message under its own privacy terms.
The name and email fields are required to prepare the enquiry, so that we can identify and answer it. You can also contact us directly by email or telephone.
3. Why we use personal information
- Answering enquiries and preparing quotations: to understand your request and communicate with you. Where you are personally entering into a contract, this is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract. For business contact persons, our legitimate interest is handling business enquiries and maintaining customer relationships.
- Carrying out orders: to organise production, delivery, invoicing and service. The basis is performance of a contract with you, or our legitimate interest in working with the organisation you represent.
- Legal requirements: to retain records or provide information where the law requires it.
- Website operation and security: to deliver website content and investigate technical problems or misuse, based on our legitimate interest in a secure, functioning website.
4. Website data and cookies
Your browser sends technical information, including your IP address and information about the request, to the hosting service when it loads a page or file. Hosting systems may record this information in access and security logs.
This website does not include advertising trackers or visitor analytics scripts. Its photographs, videos and fonts are served as website files. The enquiry form does not use a separate online form-submission service.
Links to other websites, such as maps and the Metaalunievoorwaarden document, take you to services with their own privacy notices. Those notices apply when you visit the external service.
5. Who may receive information
Information is used by the people who need it to handle your request or order. We use Microsoft 365 for our business email. Microsoft processes email messages and attachments as part of providing this service to us. Our website hosting and IT service providers may also process information as part of delivering their services. Where necessary for an order, relevant information may also be shared with delivery or production partners. Information may be disclosed to public authorities where legally required.
You can contact us for information about the service providers used for your enquiry, where they process data and the safeguards applicable to any processing outside the European Economic Area.
6. How long information is kept
Our retention period for personal information is ten years. This includes customer and contact details, enquiries, quotations, orders, email correspondence and attachments. Technical data retained independently by our hosting and email service providers is subject to their applicable retention arrangements.
You can ask us which retention period applies to your information, or request deletion where there is no continuing reason or legal obligation to keep it.
7. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Send your request to info@precimax.nl. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month. If a permitted extension is needed because of the complexity or number of requests, we will explain this within that first month.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), or your local data protection authority. You do not have to contact us first.
8. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our website or the way we process information changes. The date at the top identifies the latest version.
